My StudentsCare Story

As you may already know, every week I spend quality, therapeutic time as a StudentsCare Buddy to a child who has traveled to St. Louis from Central America for treatment not available in their home country. The kids love when I visit at the Ronald McDonald House. We hang out, play games, and try to forget about the hospital surroundings for a little while. My presence allows parents to take a much needed break to get a cup of coffee or a shower, knowing their child is happy and in good hands. StudentsCare has become such an important and meaningful part of my college life. The brave kids that I have met through this program inspire me every day.

Through this experience, I've learned the value of compassionate care in healthcare. So many children and families are forced to spend holidays in a hospital setting. I want to give back to StudentsCare this holiday season so they can continue to grow and impact hospitalized children, families, and college students across the country. Donating to StudentsCare would be the most meaningful gift you could give this holiday season.

Help us bring friendship, support, and laughter to children and their families in the hospital when they need it most.
